With Michael Crabtree out for at least the first six weeks, the 49ers are looking to find a #2 WR behind newly acquired Anquan Boldin. Davis is a natural Tight End but due to his speed could line up at Wide Receiver. Over his last four years Davis has scored 31 TDs and racked up 242 receptions. He was big in the postseason last year as well where he averaged 21.2 yards per catch. However, one issue with this scenario is San Francisco has little to no depth at the Tight End position. With Delanie Walker, last years backup and a favorite target of Kaepernick, gone, San Francisco would have trouble finding someone to play Tight End. While they do have Brent Celek's younger brother Garrett, he has had very little experience. Another potential option is Mario Manningham, who has yet to breakout with the 49ers like he did in New York. Either way, look for Davis to have an increased number of receptions and TDs, making him a big steal considering you can play him at Tight End.
